J. C. Loudon's Encyclopaedia of Cottage, Farm and Villa Architecture and
Furniure, London, 1833 contains estimates for his suggested buildings
and this should give some idea of costs.
There are also some costings given in the Account of the Improvement of
the Estates of the Marquess of Stafford, (London, Spotiswoode, 1820)
(anonymous I think but the prelims in my copy are incomplete). The good
marquess built several model farms for tenants.
I have not studied these figures but I would guess that £1450 is far too
much for a farmhouse alone.
