CALL FOR PAPERS
CHINZ 03
University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand
3-4 July 2003
http://www.business.otago.ac.nz/infosci/msrl/chinz03/index.htm
The fourth annual ACM SIGCHI conference on Computer-Human Interaction will
bring together
New Zealand's growing community of researchers and industry practitioners, in
addition to
participants from other parts of the World. HCI or CHI (depending on where you
come from!)
deals with the study of the human use of technology: This includes the
interactions with your
mobile-phone, the interfaces for the control of industrial processes, virtual
collaboration, and
even audio interfaces. The challenge for HCI is to find ways to define a new
technological future.
Come and join us in that challenge.
The conference will be hosted at New Zealand's oldest university, the
University of Otago, in
Dunedin, the Edinburgh of the South Pacific. The sessions will be located in
the modern,
purpose-built School of Business. You can also visit the world's only mainland
Royal Albatross
colony or experience the breath-taking view from the top of Mt Cargill!
SUBMISSIONS
Full papers are invited in all areas of HCI. Submissions should report
original
work, and will
be reviewed. Accepted papers will be presented at the conference and
printed in
the Proceedings.
We also welcome posters and system demonstrations. Papers should be no more
than 6 pages in
length. Details of the required format and submission process are available on
the conference
web site.
