Colleagues
At the DC 2003 meeting in Florence, we decided to try to develop a
road map of who is working on what aspect on the metadata about
accessibility puzzle. NCITS V2 is a group who are involved in this
and Charles Sheppard has kindly organised a room at the NIST Campus
in Gaithersburg, Md. (Washington DC) for a meeting.
The purpose of the meeting will be to review the work goals and
progress of various groups looking into issues of how to profile user
needs and the sorts of profiles of web accessible content, services
and products that are required for interoperability.
As reported after the DC2003 meeting, there are a number of groups
working in these areas and we hope the meeting in January will
provide us with an opportunity to complete our road map. The meeting
is scheduled for January 22.
If you are involved in this kind of work, or know of others who are,
please communicate this info to the list or me so we can invite them
to participate either in person or some other way. (It would be very
helpful if people could communicate to the list so that everyone can
hear about what is being done.)
