Dear All,
We are looking to extend the database of book reviewers for the journal
Disability & Society. The current database includes academics, postgraduate
students and disability activists.
Book reviews are usually in the region of 1,000 words, though we
occasionally accept longer reviews and comparative reviews. After an initial
contact, you would generally be given three months to complete the review.
If you are interested in being added to the database, please contact me
off-list with your email and postal addresses, and give some indication of
which areas of disability studies interest you the most e.g. disability
politics; disability policy and law; education; medical sociology; social
work with disabled people; philosophy; disability, language and culture;
feminist perspectives on disability; ethnicity and disability; disability
and childhood. This list is not exhaustive.
Many thanks
