Does anybody know what is the US legislation that allows an individual
disabled person to scan a complete book for their own purposes? Ie why
is this not a copyright infringement?
It is not the Chafee Amendment to the Copyright Act, 1996, which only
covers non-profit organisations distributing copies for disabled people
as far as I can see.
I haven't been able to get Google to show me the answer!
TIA
