Mae gan Gwynedd o Pierce gyfeiriad at Cog Moors yn ei Lyfr ar The
Place-names of Dinas Powys Hundred, t36, a thrafodaeth ar t294:
"No early forms of the name Cog Moors have been evidenced, however, but cf.
the use of the Eng dial. form gog, ME gogge 'a bog, a quagmire, a swamp'....
The interpretation must remain uncertain whilst the evidence remains as
scanty as it is."
