COMPUTER-AIDED ASSESSMENT: OBJECTIVE QUESTIONS
Aston University, £85
On 25 November the UK Centre for Legal Education (the LTSN subject
centre for law) is hosting a workshop on the use of objective questions
(OQs) in law teaching.
OQs are question formats used in computer-aided assessments, and are
still mainly written in multiple choice (MCQ) format. However, despite
their widespread use, it is recognised that MCQs fail to support more
advanced learning and examination.
This workshop will focus on how OQs can be adapted to assessment in
law, using as a case study the implementation of Chariot software within
a course on civil procedure at Glasgow Graduate School of Law.
