Sorry if this gets cross-posted..
I am currently trying to utilise the theory of planned behaviour (Ajzen &
Fishbein) to look at the attitudes of dentists. The behaviour I am
interested in is the use of the internet, by dentists, to help find
evidence for the treatments they provide.
I am a bit concerned, however, since having done some preliminary work it
would seem that most dentists (if not all) do not, nor ever will carry out
this behaviour.
I would be interested if anyone had any thoughts/references regarding the
use of TPB in the case of behaviours which elicit strong attitudes, but are
rarely performed.
Thanks very much,
Colin
