Subject: Asking for help: Most suitable qualitative sofware?
Dear colleagues:
I am new at this group, so I am very sorry if I am making a question
recently made...
I am doing my Ph-D in Sociology. More concretely, I intend to analyze the
discourse of Spanish newspapers in relation to immigration,
multiculturalism, and so on, during the last decade. I have only
concentrated on editorials (not on news, reports, photos,...) and gathered a
big amount of documents (342 editorials in total, but a purging may be
needed). Some kind of critical discourse analysis (in the way that Teun A.
van Dijk has developed) is intended, along with more traditional content or
discourse analysis.
Taking this into account, and seeing the proliferation of qualitative
analysis programs, which one do you think would be the most suitable? I have
read about Nudist (N6), Atlas-Ti, Kwalitan, WinMax, and more, even
downloaded the demo versions, but I do not feel myself capable of judging
them... Could someone please help me?
Thank you very much in advance,
