You should read Weitzman/Miles 1995: Computer software resource books,
by Sage (sorry, don't remember the exact title). It is a treasure for
evaluation criteria of QDA software, although the description are out of
date (well 7 years in IT is a long time..).

the correct name is atlas.ti
WinMax and MaxQDA are from the same author, just concentrate of the
newer MaxQDA.

You can also add Kwalitan by Vincent Peters, Aquad by Günter Huber,
EZ-Text, and Qualrus.
