You also have the institutional locus of the researcher(s) to take into
account: software choice may be constrained by existing institutional
provision, budgets, experience with a package or a cognate one (you have to
have pretty good and usable fetures to persuade someone to change.
There are also issues of the flexibilty and rapidity of technical support.
You don't state why you're doing this work - are you evaluating for a
client? I checked your website < http://www.calib.com/index.cfm> and you
don't seem to be in the business of developing software - my alternative
inference since you're a systems designer!
