Welcome to the post-16-media-teaching list.
This list has been established in response to the cries  for help, support
and networking opportunities from Media teachers and lecturers  in schools
and further education delivering AS / Alevel and AVCE Media.

Whilst the focus is  for those involved in AS / Alevel and AVCE it is hoped
that  this list will strive to achieve a number of objectives:

1: To develop a consortium of Media and Film teachers and lecturers in
schools, Further and Higher Education.

2: To develop links(especially in the North East) between educational
institutions and media industries.

3: To enable widening participation initiatives to develop between
institutions, which in turn will enhance recruitment, retention, achievement
on Media and Film courses in both FE and HE.

4: To share ideas, resources, contacts and teaching  and learning strategies
- especially for AS / Alevel / AVCE provision of Media and Film.

5: To discuss and share current research  / debates  which link to the
course specifications of post 16 provision of media and film.
