Dear All,
A new and truly unique book 'Contemporary Belarus: between democracy and
dictatorship' has just been released by RoutledgeCurzon Publishers (11
October 2002). There has been a gap in modern literature regarding the
knowledge about this small country. This book aims to fill this gap and to
offer a comparative analysis of current developments in Belarus from
historical, political, economic, and cultural perspectives. It also looks at
international relations, especially those with Russia, USA and the European
Union, and Belarus’s security policies. The book uniquely combines views of
NATIVE and western academics, theorists and practitioners, young and
established scholars, and aims at wider readership.
The book can be ordered directly from the publishers
(http://www.tandf.co.uk/books/default.html) or amazon.com/co.uk.
Alternatively any queries can be addressed to the book editors. Your
commentary, reviews and feedback will be mostly welcome.
Yours sincerely,
Editors
