Planning to come to ES2002? Then why not register for the tutorials? We have
extended the programme while maintaining last year's reduced prices, so they
represent even better value for money than ever before.
Five half-day tutorials will be presented this year at ES2002, the 22nd
Annual International Conference of the BCS's Specialist Group on Artificial
Intelligence (SGAI). The tutorials will be presented in three parallel
streams on the first day of the conference, Tuesday 10th December 2002.
The latter half of the third stream will be occupied by a workshop on AI for
Intelligent Business. The 7th UK Case-Based Reasoning Workshop will also
take place on the same day. Delegates are free to choose to attend any
possible combination of tutorial and workshop sessions.
This year's tutorials will be as follows:
AI Planning: Recent Advances and New Frontiers
Dr Max Garagnani, The Open University and Dr Derek Long, University of
Durham
Applied Knowledge-Based Engineering
Dr Craig B. Chapman, University of Warwick
Unifying AI through Information Compression and Multiple Alignment
Dr Gerry Wolff, University of Wales, Bangor
Genetic Algorithms and Simulated Annealing for Practical Applications
Dr Lars Nolle, The Nottingham Trent University
Knowledge Management
Professor Daniel E. O'Leary, University of Southern California
Last year's reduced prices are being maintained (GBP70 if attending the rest
of the conference, GBP50 for students). The price covers attendance at any
of the day's tutorials or workshops.
Further details and registration information are available at the ES2002 web
site:
