The point about PTCA is an interesting one. We know that both thrombolysis and PTCA can deliver restoration of patency. We
also know that you should have PTCA if there is a single short stenosis. Now, if we push like hell for thrombolysis, who delivers
it? And if we push like hell for PTCA, who has to get out of bed at 4am to deliver it?
The cynic in me knows perfectly well why cardiologists are pushing thrombolysis.
