Dear Vivian
please visit our page www.optom.de or www.blickzentrum.de
to see, what is available at the moment. You will also find the published
articles on methods and results.
We have developped an optomotor training program, which allows to
improve specifically the three main components of saccade control: fixation,
reflexive saccades, and antisaccades. The training is done by using a small
hand held instrument called FixTrain.
To elaborate the training program for any given child or patient one needs to
record and analyse the saccadic eye movements in detail. This can be
achieved by using ExpressEye, which is an eye tracker especially designed
for clinical use. It uses the age matched control data to tell you
wether or not a given patient performed within the limits of the normals in
the various variables determined by the instrument.
All instruments come in English versions with manuals in English.
The training has been succesfully used by dyslexics.
I will be sending some more information to your postal address.
May be we should continue our dialog on personal e-mail addresses.
Best regards
Burkhart Fischer
