Hi,
Re rocketfuel, it's a great project, correlation of the datas must have
been a nice "game".
If some of you are interested in scientific (and poetic) views of internet
I have started a few weeks ago the rootzmap project :
http://www.sysctl.org/rootzmap/
Future of this project is generation of vector graphics maps (Flash)
instead of bitmap maps. Then, perhaps something interactive will be possible...
If anyone has good links to high-resolution vectored world map, please
contact me off-list (I can't find anything graphically satisfying.).
Also I have released a few weeks ago GASP 1 (which is already in version
1.2) : http://mogwai.frnog.org/sysctl/gasp/
GASP (Graphical Autonomous System Path) generates a logical map showing the
AS path from multiple AS located in Europe and Northern America to a
specific network with geographical details.
With the FRnOG/SwiNOG's route server dumps merged with the routeviews.org
dumps, we have 5.5+ million routes in database.
This database can be considered as the biggest virtual route server in the
world.
So if you have other ideas/projects about using those datas, you can
contact me off-list about it.
Sincerely,
Philippe Bourcier
