Film Officer
We are looking to recruit a part time film officer (29 hours per week) to join
our Cultural Programmes Department.
The key responsibilities will be:
- in coordination with the Director and the Head of Arts to plan the
programme of in-house screenings of German films
- to deal with all practical aspects of implementing this film programme within
budget
- collaborate with British institutions on projects related to German film
- coordinate and organise the Annual German Film Festival in London with
the German Film Export Union
- maintain and develop press and media contacts
- participate actively in interdisciplinary cultural projects of the Goethe-Institut
Inter Nationes.
Ideally, you will have already gained a background in the arts and will be
educated to degree or the equivalent standard. You should also be able to
demonstrate the following:
- knowledge of the contemporary arts, especially the film scene, in Germany
and the UK
- excellent organisational skills
- highly developed IT skills
- a good command of spoken and written English and German
- resourcefulness, flexibility and adaptability.
The salary is in the region of £19,500 depending on experience. Holiday
entitlement is 26 days.
