I certainly find that if the students write essays on WP then they have the
advantage of being able to paraphrase articles and books on computer and
construct their essays from that research. Clearly they need to do plenty
of timed essays under exam conditions nearer the exam, and I tend to devote
a whole lesson a week to such activities for the latter half of the spring
term. A2 has, however, left us having to teach essay writing skills in one
year rather than two.
