Dear all
Traditionally subject areas are less popular as areas of research, but
unlike fashionable research like school improvment or educational
management, the value of such research is probably more long-term - think of
the controversy I have just started! There are many in HE doing some
sterling research in the area of BusEd (I don't think it would be right to
mention them by name), much of which is accessible on the BIDS database -
British Education Index and Eric IBSS Online - an international bibliography
of the Social Sciences produced by the British Library of Political and
Economic Science. You may also want to trawl various vocationally-related
journals, most of which will have abstracts on line. The EBEA published an
excellent book last year (David Lines et al), summarising some of the
research papers at its research conference. There are also on-line journals
such as http://ultibase.rmit.edu.au/Journal/journal.htm
which have vocationally and business-related articles submitted from time to
time.
It would be wrong to talk about our own research on this forum, so I won't!
However, if anyone would like to discuss their or my research away from the
list, I am more than happy to do so.
