I've included two versions of some suggestions - one as an
attachment and one in the text of the e-mail. I hope these are of some
use.

Research in Economics and Business Education
Natural places to look for research papers on economics and business
education are: Journal of Economic Education (U.S. mainly focused on
undergraduate), Children's Social and Economic Education (no longer
published), Economic Awareness (No longer published) and Economia
(From the Association for European Economics Education - no longer
published) and of course Teaching Business and Economics and its
predecessors. A small amount of research on our subject area is
published in general education journals when the topics are of wider
interest. A number are listed below:

and N. Entwistle (Eds.) The Experience of Learning (Edinburgh:
Scottish Academic Press). - summary of phemonenographic approach to
defining outcomes of learning in economics.

outcomes in A-levels and advanced GNVQs: case studies from science and
business studies classrooms, Research Papers in Education, 16(2):199 -
222 - recent study highly relevant to the development of thinking
skills in business studies

Economics? American Economic Review, 89(2): 350-354. - each of the

the modeling of learning outcomes in first year economics. Higher
Education Research & Development, 20; 2: 127-145.
Meyer, J.H.F. and Shanahan. M.P. (2001b). On variation in conceptions
of 'price' in economics. Higher Education, forthcoming. Last two are
technical papers which start from a phenomenographic base and then
attempt a statistical analysis of patterns in students' thinking.
Citizenship Education
Davies, I. (1998) Economic and Monetary Union: Issues Relating to
Education for Citizenship, Evaluation and Research in Education, 12,3:
