Fellowships for research on disability rehabilitation
The U.S. Department of Education is accepting applications for
distinguished and merit fellowships to support research on the
rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities. The research must deal
with the daily problems encountered by individuals with disabilities,
difficulties associated with the provision of rehabilitation services, and
issues connected with the conduct of disability research.
·Who is eligible: Distinguished fellows must hold a doctorate or other
comparable academic qualifications and have seven or more years of research
experience in subject areas, methods, or techniques relevant to
rehabilitation research. Merit fellows must have either advanced
professional training or independent study experience in an area that is
directly pertinent to disability and rehabilitation.
·Deadline for applications: October 15.
·Total amount to be awarded and number of awards: an unspecified amount for
about 10 awards.
·Amount of individual awards: up to $45,000 for merit fellowships; up to
$55,000 for distinguished fellowships.
