HI, I am on a doctorate in counselling psychology as part of this I HAVE to undertake a piece of quantatative research. Last year in my qualitative piece I found that my participants felt largely unable to speak about their disabilities , or at least only in certain ways.
I have come across a self silencing questionnaire, which although I have not had a chance to investigate yet I thought it may enable me to expand the theme in my qual. work into my quan. work. So far I have only found it being used to research eating disorders, abuse and depression. I wondered if anyone had ever come across it being used in research with disabled people? cheers, Sarah Supple.
