The present state is that the UK is not registered into CERN. Currently RAL
is registering straight into CERN.
Once the testbed is opened up at cern I will register RAL into the UK and
ask for the UK to be registered into CERN.
Contained within the 1.2 release of edg there is an environment
set by default in the MDS as.
EDG-TEST
Also commented out is
EDG-CERTIFIED
This allows people to match their jobs to one or the other.
If EDG-TEST is set you have the opportunity to hope things
are working.
It may be good if all sites could add EDG-TEST to their current
beta release's MDS.
For those in an LCFG world edit site-cfg.h and add
#define CE_IP_RUNTIMEENV15 EDG-TEST
# touch client_testbed-cfg.h
# /usr/sbin/mkprof computeelement
wait 3 minutes
# Restart the giis (globus-mds) on the CE.

It might be advisable not to join the main CERN testbed just now if this can
be avoided - how does one avoid it now that country GIIS are used? Let's
grow the UK expertise so we are ready for 1.2.1
