This multidisciplinary course on ageing and its implications at both the
population and individual level provides participants with up-to-date,
research-based training on how best to promote and maintain health in
later ife, how to organise and deliver services, how to assess needs and
whatdemographic, technological and social changes need to be taken into
accountwhen planning for the future. The course has an international,
comparative rientation and will be of value to participants from the UK and
other countries. It is relevant for those working with or for older people,
including professionals from medical, social work, nursing and therapy
backgrounds; policy makers, planners and providers of services in the
public, voluntary and private sectors, and academics and researchers who
wish to broaden or update their knowledge.
