Trained to work as NCCGs, not trained to work as consultants. A SHO is being
trained for their next (or later) job; a consultant or NCCG is already doing
the job they are trained to do. One would consider that this would mean a
NCCG should be paid at a considerably higher rate than a SHO or SpR doing
the same work.

An unfortunate view of priorities from the BMA. My sympathies. Personally I
consider NCCG terms and payment to be a higher priority than that of
consultants.
