Hi
I was just wondering if list members knew of any relevant session proposals for next year's AAG meeting that hadn't yet been circulated here. I've had a look at many of the AAG speciality group websites but I could only find two lists of proposals for sponsored sessions (see below). Can anyone involved with other groups add to this.
Prior to big conferences like the AAG, I normally see about a handful of CFPs that I think look particularly interesting. At the event itself, there may be five times that number of sessions, and I always wish I'd known about them earlier. Obviously some CFPs spawn multiple sessions, but where do all the others come from? Am I looking in the wrong places or are many sessions organised amongst colleagues without much publicity? If the latter, does that mean that postgrads (who generally have fewer of their own friends in the business) end up participating in sessions that they've learnt about via their supervisors, at the risk of ending up like 'mini-me' (who is the infamous miniaturised clone of Dr. Evil, for those who haven't seen Austin Powers)?
Any more CFPs or pointers would be most welcome.
Cheers
Tom MacMillan
