Was this the product of a scan or was it one you "dummied up"?
If the latter, it might be worthwhile seeing what sort of results you do
get from a few test scans. If you get a plain-text equivalent, then it
won't matter that NVivo doesn't import RTFs with tables.
It doesn't sound as though the tables are that important as regards your
putative research questions. If so, and if the scanning doesn't reproduce
the tables, then it might be best to go for the software which is embedded
in the local research infrastructure at Penn State, ie NVivo.
But with 30,000 documents you might want to look at using Nudist 6 (a
sister product of NVivo) instead.
