Salary: £20,470 - £24,435 per annum.

Summary: The School seeks to appoint to the second of two lectureships to
deliver the interpreting element (theory and practice) in a recently introduced
degree programme, the BA in Modern Languages with Interpreting. A
specialist in French and/or German is sought for this post. Preference will be
given to candidates with teaching, research and/or practical expertise in
interpreting, although consideration will also be given to candidates
specialising in cognate areas and with a demonstrable capacity to acquire
the necessary expertise. The person appointed will also be expected to
contribute to other areas of the teaching of the appropriate department(s),
and an ability to contribute to the School's MA in Translation Studies would
be an advantage. The post is available from 1 February 2002.
