Maybe its more about making "us" and "them" equal. It then comes down to
cultural diversity including lots of groups of us and lots of groups of
them. Who will be us and who will be them probably boils down to personal
and social identity and the notion of difference. We who identify with a
particular social grouping will always be the "us" and everybody else will
always be the "them". The important thing is that they have equal rights.
