Subject: FW: Research Officer Post, NSPCC
I would like to bring to your attention an advert that went out in the
Guardian on Wednesday 17th July for a research post at the NSPCC for an
initial 6 month period. I would be grateful if you could forward this
on to anyone you know who may be interested.
> The post relates the first stage in a proposed widescale research

Thank you,
David.
Research Officer (Disability Research). Initially for six months.
Salary: SP 35-38 £ (inc. LW) + non-contributory pension scheme
Protecting children from cruelty and abuse is the one thing we care about at
the NSPCC. And as such, it is imperative to us that services to disabled
children are effective as possible.
The study is the first stage in a proposed wide scale research study to
learn from what disabled young adults can tell us from their childhood
experiences. The initial task will be to undertake a literature review,
liaise with partner agencies, examine the feasibility of such an exercise
and design a manageable fieldwork project.
Of course, this role demands good research skills and a knowledge of the
child protection system in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Combined
with an awareness of disability issues, you’ll not only be able to collect
and analyse data, but also to present your findings and evidence successes
and areas where services and policies need to change.
To discuss further telephone David Miller on 020 7825 2815.
