No, you were not the only one. It sounds as though the fire service did all
that a paramedic crew could have done. I am saddened that the abilities of
our colleagues in the fire service (and the quick thinking of the person at
ambulance control who got a defib to the patient as soon as possible) are
denigrated in this manner. Unfortunate that the patient did not survive, but
praise is due to those involved for giving him the best chance possible.
