Hi Margaret,
The current server space is donated by the University of
Bath and is available for at least as long as there is a
'minder'. I daresay they could be persuaded to keep it on
for longer if it is recognised as a valuable resource.
However, a html-format archive is also available on my own
hard-drive and backed-up on cd-rom.
It was always my intention to lodge a cd-rom version with
the library system anyway. But this will not happen until
more issues are out. We have an official ISSN
classification also.
One of the ideas i have toyed with is to produce a pdf or
Macromedia Director style production and distribute it via
cd-rom. Whilst this would be cheaper than print production,
it doesn't really address any of the issues associated with
access for people without the technical knowledge or
without the necessary hardware to look at cd-roms. In other
words, most people who can access a cd-rom also have web
access so why bother.
Cheers,
Rich
