Dear Colleague
I am writing to you as Chair of a Committee that has been formed to explore
the options for setting up a new Corporation to take forward the work
currently undertaken by ISTAHC.
The founding members of the Committee have met once. They agreed to co-opt
Brendon Kearney and the Committee therefore now comprises:
Alicia Granados, Chris Henshall, Jim Breivis, John Gabbay, Deborah Marshall,
Cliff Goodman, Laura Sampietro-Colom, Karen Facey, Sivalal Sandivastan,
Gloria Ramirez-Donoso, Finn Borlum Kritiansen, Wija Oortwijn, David Banta,
Reinhard Busse, Stanley Resier, Egon Jonsson, Brendon Kearney.
We will be writing again later in the year to set out options and
recommendations for the way forward. These will include proposals for an
organisation with appropriate experience to provide administrative support
to the new Society.
Please let me know if your own organisation would be interested in providing
this support. A short letter declaring an interest and describing briefly
the nature of your organisation and its experience is all that is required
at this point. The Committee will consider these and invite those most
closely aligned with the requirements of the new Society to submit fuller
proposals.
Expressions of interest should reach me by the 15th July 2002. Those
selected
to develop fuller proposals will be contacted shortly afterwards. Full
proposals will be needed by the 16th September 2002. It is expected that
administrative support will need to commence by the end of the year.
I look forward to your support in this important venture.
Yours sincerely
Alicia Granados
Chair, Committee to Develop Proposals for a New International Society for
Health Technology Assessment (CNSHTA)
