Has anyone ever heard of this storyline - it was in a Jack Nicholson
film I saw recently (him of 'One flew over the cuckoos nest' fame)
called 'The Pledge'. The actual film was about a just-retired
policeman who suspected a still-working policeman of abusing
local children, but who unsuprisingly faced great obstructions from
his ex-pals in the local copshop when attempting to prove his
theory of who was responsible for the attacks.
The storyline was about an eagle who says to a small boy, 'Come,
climb on my back and I will carry you to a warm land, where the
sun shines brighter than it does here'. I did a net search but all I
could come up with was that it was probably part of a native North
American story.
Many thanks, Hillary
