I am an urban planning student interested in municipal responses to citizens
with disabilities. I have read quite a bit about accessibility committees
established by municipalities! (Ahem!) However, I have noted little about
municipally based ( i.e. NOT simply city funded but an integral part of the
city's administration) organizations that deal exclusively with disability
issues. Does anyone know of cities, anywhere in the world, that have
established "disability offices" or hired accessibility planners to address
urban issues from a disability perspective? Thanks, in advance, for your
assistance, Lilith
