The European KM Forum invites you to participate in KMSS2002 - The Second
European KM Summer School, 2-6 September 2002, Sophia Antipolis, Nice,
France
The summer school is a multi-disciplinary self-sustaining event, designed to
promote latest developments on topics at the forefront of KM, and to provide
the methodological framework for KM research. This unique event will be
supported by contributions from prominent academics, knowledge professionals
and European Commission experts. The event is organised in partnership with
CERAM, INRIA, ecKM and Groupe ESC-Marseille Provence.
Who should attend:
PhD and Master students and researchers in KM, as well as KM practitioners
are welcome to contribute to the only European KM Summer School and get
involved in the community that will be built.
Programme overview:
The 5 days event is designed to deliver courses on the most actual topics at
the frontier between KM industry and research. The programme is based on
thematic days and is a combination of theoretical discourses, focused
worksohps, cluster sessions, gaming sessions and KM software demonstrations:
Day 1: A Review of KM Frameworks for Theory and Practice
Day 2: Sustainable Communities of Practice
Day 3: Connecting KM Research and Practice
Day 4: Individual and Organisational Learning
Day 5: Methodologies and Technologies for KM

Call for papers:
Students wishing to participate should submit a 4 - 6 pages paper on their
research, describing clearly the purpose of the research, references to
existing theories, research methodologies and results to date. Research
should contribute preferably to one of the areas addressed in the programme.
