Dear All,
I am in the process of thinking through a 'user satisfaction survey' for people
using the various services, applications and systems that we support. I have
done a quick search on the web and found a few references to such surveys in
peoples insititutional or departmental plans. There are however no links to
the actual questions used. I was hoping I could use them to cross check
against what I think I want to find out. I am worried that I may forget to ask
something which, if only I could see some other's, I would think "Oh - of
course I should be asking about that". I am also not entirely convinced of how
to best to ask the questions e.g. tick box, likert-scale type etc. I am trying
to keep it short (ha!) to increase the chances of returns (ha!ha!).
My main reasons for doing this are that our user-base has increased hugely
(from 10 departments to 40!) and feedback about our services, how they can be
improved, design changes to applications (such as the VLE), student comments
etc. are in danger of being lost as we used to meet with individual users, but
cannot now do this.
I do have some people lined up within the institution to pilot the questions
for me - but I have to get something sensible to them first!
If anyone would be willing to share their survey questions I would be
enormously grateful. One way or another, I will send a link to my own
questionnaire, once I have created it, in case it is of use to anyone else!
