Hi Jean
I hope you had a restful holiday - no doubt the days just flew past!
I wonder if you have had a chance to talk to any of your contacts/networks
regarding AbilityNet and the services we provide for students/further
education, in particular the SENDA conference we're hosting in May. I've
attached our brochure and some blurb underneath. I'd be very grateful if
you would be able to distribute the information to your numerous contacts
- I'm sure the SENDA conference will be extremely beneficial and
informative to all who attend.
Regards
Craig
AbilityNet will be holding their SENDA (Special Educational Needs and
Disability Act) conference on May 31st at Reid Kerr College.
In order to meet the requirements of SENDA, AbilityNet, the UK's leading
charity in computing and accessible technology, will be presenting a
one-day conference, Making Sense of SENDA, to help colleges and lecturing
staff get to grips with the new legislation.
The SENDA conference will explore a variety of IT solutions relating to
education including an overview of the legislation and what it means for
colleges, assistive and adaptive hardware/software to meet students' needs
and the Internet and e-learning accessibility.
A brochure is attached in PDF format for more information. Alternatively
you can phone 0131 331 6381 or check our webstie www.abilitynet.co.uk or
