If the patient has had external beam therapy then they are safe - no problem for any therapist.
If the patient has had isotope therapy, where they have to ingest food or drink, or are injected with radioactive isotopes, then there is a possibility, but it depends on what they have had done.
A colleague of mine in the UK said she will be happy to answer your question if you have details. I will send you her details privately to avoid junk mailers picking them up. Yopu could also ask you hospitals' nuclear team/radiation protection services/ whatever they call themselves out there!
