Dear Colleagues
Part of the Project on The Effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PEPBL)
includes contributing to the ESRC TLRP's programme to develop 'research capacity'.
We are pleased to let you know about one of our contributions - a new website
'Teaching & Learning Resources for EBP' .
The site provides a range of teaching and learning resources to
support each stage of the EBP process. For those of you unfamiliar with the
term EBP we interpret this to mean the process of using research
to help decision making in practice. The materials are
primarily designed for use with people new to EBP and people working in the
healthcare field and nurses in particular. However with a little modification
we feel that many of the materials will be applicable to other groups
of learners.
The materials are primarily designed for use in a workshop
situation but in some cases may be suitable for self - directed learning.
The development of the site has been supported by the ESRC
Teaching and Learning Research Programme and the Research
Centre For Transcultural Studies in Healthcare in the School of
Health and Social Sciences at Middlesex University
who funded the major input from David Harries.
We are also grateful to Tony Roberts of North Tees PCT for his
input into the development the materials.
