We wish to appoint a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer with strong research potential in any area, although applicants who are able to offer research and teaching interests in the Sociology of Health and Illness are particularly welcome. If successful you will be expected to contribute to core Sociology teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as offering modules relevant to your research interests. Tenable from 1 September 2002.
Salary will be at an appropriate point, according to qualifications and experience, on the following scale:
Lecturer Grade B: £25,455 - £32,537 pa / Senior Lecturer: £34,158 - £38,603 pa
New Lecturers receive £1,000 towards research start up costs and conference expenses.
