Dollars & Sense Announces 2002-2003 Classroom Books
http://www.dollarsandsense.org/bookstore.html
Dollars & Sense, publisher of the bimonthly magazine
of economic justice, produces 8 classroom books for
use in college courses. The books present left
perspectives neglected in standard economics
textbooks, and examine the real meanings of neo-
classical economic theory when applied in the “real
world.”
For twenty years, D&S’s classroom books have helped
professors focus discussions of health and
economics. This June, we will release the 7th
edition of Real World Globalization, which includes
a new chapter on health, the environment, and
agriculture.
A full list of D&S books includes Real World Macro,
Real World Micro, Current Economic Issues, Real
World Globalization, Real World Banking, The
Environment In Crisis, Introduction to Political
Economy, and Unlevel Playing Fields: Understanding
Wage Inequality and Discrimination. Our “Real
World” books, as well as Current Economic Issues and
The Environment in Crisis, are anthologies of
articles from Dollars & Sense magazine, organized
around themes of standard economics courses.
Introduction to Political Economy and Unlevel
Playing Fields have been written independently of
the magazine by economists affiliated with Dollars &
Sense. All are written expressly for students.
Instructors can view tables of contents for all
eight books and order free examination copies at the
Dollars & Sense website:
