Dear all,
I have been attending WCBR for years. It's a great interactive meeting
and I urge you to put in a session. Any topic is acceptable -
interdisciplinary work is highly valued - you do not need to have
attended in the past.
Skiing is in the Rockies at the height of the season; for those who do
not ski there is hiking, snowshowing or simply sitting around at a
fireplace quietly and thinking.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Thirty-Sixth Winter Conference on Brain Research
A Message from the Program Chair
Dear Colleague,
NOW AVAILABLE! The web site is now on-line for submission of program
proposals for the Thirty-Sixth Winter Conference on Brain Research to be
held in Snowbird, Utah from January 25-31, 2003. Please direct your web
browser to http://www.conted.uiuc.edu/wcbr to obtain detailed
information about participation in this exciting event. This newly
updated web site includes the Call for Abstracts, all-new detailed
proposal submission guidelines, an on-line proposal submission form,
meeting eligibility information, and many other important facts about
the meeting.
THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS FOR ALL ORAL SESSION FORMATS
IS JUNE 15, 2002. In addition, poster presentation submissions will be
accepted on a space-available basis, so EARLY submission of poster
abstracts is strongly encouraged. Please see the web site for more
detailed information regarding oral session formats and for
poster-related meeting eligibility policies. The program committee
especially hopes to encourage participation of newcomers to the WCBR
meeting and a travel award program is available to support the
attendance of young investigators. Previous WCBR attendance is not
required to submit a proposal or to be named as a participant on a
proposal for the 2003 WCBR program.
Remember that the development of the WCBR program is based strictly on
volunteer submission of unsolicited proposals. In the volunteer spirit
that is a hallmark of the WCBR meeting, please do make a point of
submitting a proposal yourself and of encouraging talented newcomers to
do so as well.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Abercrombie, Ph.D. 2003 WCBR Program Chair
