Dear Collegues
I am looking for anything that has been written which might be relevant to
rough relationships between sustation length and psychosocial characters.
To put it concretely, I wonder if anyone tell me what year "short term" or "long
term" mean in
psychosocial adjustments to traumatic spinal cord injury.
For instance, 10 years sustation can be "long " or "short"? The length is
relative.
Needless to say, lots of elements must be concerned, degree of independence of
activities of
daili living, income, vocational status, familiy situation. Rough trends will be
useful for me
now.
The reason why I ask these questions is that I would like to
examine the way persons with traumatic SCI construct their narratives on pre /
post injury lives in term of sustainment difference. This resarch designs may be
too rough and
simple, however, it seem valuable to answer the simple quesiton.
Any suggestions will be appreciated, including medical model studies.
Finally, I got a position at Colleage of Social Welfare, Osaka Prefecture
Uiversity,
in western Japan. I am in charge of three seminars, lectures on welfare for
persons with disabilities. And, Supports for disabled students are my roles.
Thank you.
