The next NCAF (the Natural Computing Application Forum) meeting will be held
at Ranmoor Hall Conference and Training Centre, Sheffield, 28-29 May 2002.
It will have a special theme of "Regularisation", and will also include a
wide range of papers on applications of neural networks, genetic algorithms
and other natural computing methods.
In a change to the original programme, we are pleased to be able to announce
that Zoubin Ghahramani of the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit
(University College London) will be giving a very pertinent talk on
"Bayesian latent variable time series models", with practical advice,
demonstrations and applications.
NCAF meetings are open to all, whether NCAF members or not. BCS SGES
members are offered a special discount as part of the programme of closer
liaison between NCAF and SGES.
Please refer to the web site at http://ncaf.org.uk (or
http://www.ncaf.co.uk) for further information. The "Meetings" page
(accessible from the home page and menu bar) contains the full programme.
From the "Meetings" page you can get to the "Venue Details" for information
on location, maps, parking, accommodation and full social programme. There
is also a link to the on-line registration form.
REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN. Please book by Monday 20 May 2002. After this
deadline we can accept registrations but we cannot guarantee accommodation
or catering (although we will try our best!)
