It's not an answer but it is a lead: try to contact someone via the "From
Farm to the Fork" pages of Europa
http://europa.eu.int/comm/food/index_en.html
Alternatively go to the UK Food Standards Agency (since the EU hasn't got
its act together and set its own up yet) and use the "Ask an Expert" if
they can point you to any research. The nearest page I could find was
http://www.food.gov.uk/multimedia/tellmeabout/fish?version=1

Subject: Fish Recommendations
Dear All,
I'm trying to find out any government dietary recommendations on the eating
of fish for any EU countries (especially Sweden) . This isn't going very
well so far so any suggestions would be gratefully received!
Many thanks
