Sarah:
I think it's important that we not equate "not been superseded" with "not been
substantially supplemented or altered." As the blurb points out, it is a foundation,
not the whole enterprise.
It's not my idea of the best approach to archaeology, but as a way to understand how
those who are working along these lines got were they are today, it's a must-read.
As you mention it is good to see things coming back into print: now if people will only
read them.....
