Dear List members,
Re: The Readers' Guide to Rudyard Kipling's Works
(8 volumes, published privately 1961 to 1972)
Please reply to me directly, not through JISCMAIL.
The Council of the Kipling Society would like to trace as many as possible of the original 100 sets, but particularly those in libraries. The various on-line lists, such as COPAC, have already been accessed, but many library catalogues are not yet available in this way.
If you know the location of any sets or individual volumes, it would also be very useful to know the limited edition numbers (at least one University library has a mixed part set). Many have the name of the original subscriber, and this would also be of great interest.
I am acting as clearing house for this information, on behalf of the Society, and would be very grateful for details. The results, for volumes in libraries only, will be made available through the Kipling Journal, the Kipling Society web site and this list. (Any information on privately owned copies must be confidential).
Best wishes,
John Walker
