italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Hi, all:
I've got another minor mystery to solve. In a Roman periodical
published in 1925, I've come across a reference to a person named
Brenni (no first name). I assume he's a politician, though whether
on the national level or at some lower level, I'm not sure (he's
attacked as a plutocrat, beholden to international business interests).
The periodical was published in Rome, but the article comes
from a lecture given about Venice. I've checked several Italian
encyclopedias, as well as the Italian Dictionary of Biography.
So does a politician named "Brenni" in Rome or Venice around
1925 ring a bell for anyone? As always, grazie mille!
